I decided to spend one day in Figueres to rest my feet before going to the
conference on the next day. But also I wanted to visit the thing, Figueres
is famouse for: Theatre-Museum Dali. As I knew a bit of what to expect from
Dali, I was really curious to see more of his paintings. And in the end, that
place was quiet overwhelming! This is not an art museum in the classical sense
and you learn nothing about the biography, cultural relations or anything you
might expect in a museum. Instead this is like a huge surrealistic maze, a
labyrith, and being inside is a bit like dreaming. Just as Dali had intended
it! It was absolutely fascinating, and although it was low season, the museum
was packed with visitors.
