The final day of my hiking tour. I originally had planned to visit the
Aiguamolls natural park, but having the choice between the mountains of
Cap Creus or the boring, flat plains of Aiguamolls, I somehow decided for
the mountains again. First I followed the GR-92 hiking route out of Roses.
Then I turned northwards, crossed some fields and reached the village
Palau-Saverdera. Somewhere around there I found an alternative route of
GR-92, which I wanted to follow. Again I took a short detour, this time
unintentionally however, but I found some nice Dolmen and a Menhir that way.
Finally I climbed up to Sant Onofre (from sealevel to about 400m), went on to
Mas Ventos and passed Puig Margall. After following the road a bit, I found
a path to the Dolmen de la Vinya del Rei and many more prehistoric buildings.
It took me down to the village of Vilajuiga, where I was right in time to catch
the next train to the city of Figueres
